Full descriptionWe are seeking an experienced East Africa Luxury Travel Consultant to join our growing team of specialists.
This is a client-facing, itinerary-driven role focused exclusively on B2C luxury travel sales and operations coordination. You will work directly with high-net-worth international clients to design and deliver exceptional East African safari experiences, while coordinating seamlessly with lodges, camps, and in-country partners.
This role is not B2B-focused and does not involve trade sales or wholesale contracting.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to convert high-value enquiries, design exceptional itineraries, and consistently deliver outstanding client experiences from enquiry through to post-travel follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and sell bespoke luxury safari itineraries across East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, and surrounding regions)
• Engage directly with high-net-worth clients to understand their preferences, expectations, and travel motivations
• Manage the full client journey from initial enquiry through to booking confirmation and travel completion
• Coordinate closely with lodges, camps, and local partners to ensure flawless execution of itineraries
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships through exceptional communication and service delivery
• Stay up to date with East African destinations, new lodge openings, seasonal travel trends, and regulatory requirements
• Achieve and exceed individual sales targets while contributing to overall team performance
• Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all itineraries, communications, and CRM updates
• Proven experience as a luxury travel consultant, ideally with a strong focus on East Africa
• In-depth knowledge of East African destinations, including lodges, camps, safari circuits, and exclusive experiences
• Strong track record in direct-to-client luxury travel sales and itinerary design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage high-net-worth clients
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail in managing complex itineraries
• Ability to work independently while remaining aligned to a collaborative team environment
• Passion for travel, wildlife, conservation, and delivering world-class client experiences Advantageous
• Proficiency in additional languages such as French, German, or Spanish
• Experience using luxury travel systems such as Wetu, Tourplan, or similar CRM/itinerary platforms
• Previous experience working with international high-end clientele in a sales-driven environment
