We are seeking an energetic, target-driven and community-savvy Amharic speaking Field Sales Representative to join our Sales team, based in Tembisa with a willingness to work across other Gauteng areas as business needs require. This role is responsible for building and growing ikeja's presence among small established businesses - spaza shops, hair salons, taverns, car washes and similar local businesses - converting leads into paying, activated customers and building lasting relationships with the local business community.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field-based canvassing within assigned areas, with a strong focus on engaging small and established local businesses, as well as residential customers.
- Generate new customer leads and sign-ups through direct, face-to-face sales activities.
- Achieve and maintain monthly sales targets across assigned products and areas.
- Clearly and accurately explain product offerings, pricing and the customer onboarding and installation process.
- Complete all required customer documentation and system entries accurately and timeously.
- Follow up on leads and prospective customers to support successful conversion and installation.
- Build positive relationships with local businesses, customers and community stakeholders to generate referrals and new sales opportunities.
- Provide feedback on competitor activity, customer needs and market opportunities within assigned areas.
- Represent ikeja professionally and in accordance with company branding, conduct and ethical selling standards.
- Attend sales briefings, training sessions and team meetings as required.
- Comply with all relevant company policies, customer consent requirements and sales procedures.
- Support sales activations, promotions, community events and other initiatives as required.
- Build and maintain a network of Brand Ambassadors to support sales activity and brand awareness within assigned communities.
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid South African driver's licence (Code B or higher).
- Minimum 1 year's driving experience with a valid driver's licence.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in direct sales, field sales, door-to-door sales, or another target-driven sales environment; experience selling to small businesses would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Fluent in spoken Amharic and English - required to effectively engage and communicate with customers within the assigned market.
- Good knowledge of, or willingness to work extensively within, Tembisa and surrounding Gauteng areas. Residing in or near Tembisa would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working outdoors, on foot and in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Computer and smartphone literate, with the ability to use digital sign-up and reporting tools. Full training will be provided on internal systems.
- Own reliable transport.
- Willing and able to work weekends and extended hours where operationally required.
- Comfortable working within township and community environments.
- Willing to travel to other areas across Gauteng as business needs require.
