Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Fixed Asset Administration team to ensure high performance and service excellence. 
  • Oversee the accurate creation, capitalisation, transfer, and retirement of fixed assets within the Fixed Asset Register. 
  • Review and approve asset capitalisation requests, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with IFRS and company policies. 
  • Ensure all assets are correctly linked to physical business locations and master data records are maintained accurately. 
  • Monitor and review expense versus capital expenditure classifications. 
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational deadlines are consistently achieved. 
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex asset administration queries and issues. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders to support business requirements. 
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and manage delivery timelines for asset-related requests. 
  • Drive continuous improvement, process standardisation, and data quality initiatives across the asset administration function. 
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and skills development within the team. 
  • Qualifications and Experience 
  • Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in fixed asset administration, finance operations, or a similar environment. 
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of fixed asset processes, capitalisation requirements, and financial controls. 
  • Experience working with ERP systems and asset management systems. 
  • Minimum NQF Level 5 in accounting or related qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Fixed Asset
