Job Purpose
We are seeking a seasoned financial services professional with demonstrated experience managing a
consumer lending program. This individual should have a great command of credit strategy
development and lending product economics. Building on that foundation, the Lending Business
Owner will own the full product lifecycle and end-to-end P&L for GoTyme’s next-generation lending
offering—driving sustainable and resilient growth, best-in-class customer experience, and disciplined
risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
• P&L Ownership: Own the P&L for the lending product; set and deliver volume, revenue,
cost, and loss targets; optimise profitability (risk adjusted returns) through credit risk, pricing,
fee design, and margin management while always keeping the customer top of mind.
• Credit Risk Management: Own 1st line credit strategies (acquisitions, portfolio management)
that allow us to optimize growth and customer lifetime value while operating
within the bank’s risk appetite
• Product Strategy and Development: Work with the Product team to craft the go-to market
and multi-year product vision, customer value proposition, and agile roadmap; lead
discovery, prototyping, and iterative releases from concept to scale. Ensure that investments
are aligned to Tyme group’s multi-country vision.
• Customer Growth & Experience: Drive acquisition, activation, and retention through
data-driven marketing, UX experimentation, and personalized lifecycle journeys to sustain
high NPS.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance: Align Legal, Compliance, Finance,
Operations, Tech, and Marketing to hit launch and portfolio milestones; present business cases
to ExCo, credit committees, and regulators.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Institutionalise OKR dashboards, test-and-learn agendas,
and cohort analytics; socialise insights for rapid course-correction.
• Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, coach, and inspire a multidisciplinary squad of
product, credit, marketing, operations teams to support lending initiatives; foster GoTyme’s
culture of “hunger & humility.”
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Scout fintech trends, embedded-lending plays,
and alternative-data partnerships to keep GoTyme at the front of consumer credit innovation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Portfolio profitability (Risk-adjusted margin, Net interest margin, Net Present Value, Return
on Equity)
• Growth (Disbursements #/PHP, Outstandings, Penetration)
• Risk & Capital (Credit losses #/PHP %, Loss Coverage Ratio, Capital Adequacy)
• Execution (On-time delivery, Flawless execution, Experimentation)
Job Specification
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or higher in applied mathematics, finance, statistics,
computer science, physics, data science, engineering or any other
quantitative discipline
• Master’s degree is preferred
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements (if any)
• Relevant experience or diplomas, certificates or completed training
courses.
• CFA, FRM, PMP is a plus.
Relevant Work Experience:
• 5+ years in the financial services industry at a top-tier bank or fintech
(e.g. Capital One, Nubank, etc.)
• Proven track record of launching, scaling, and managing credit
products
• Experience managing lending program P&L and credit risk and
leveraging data and analytics to inform decisions
• Hands on experience working with, manipulating and analyzing large
datasets using programming languages such as SQL, R, SAS, Python,
etc.
• Evidence of leadership and managerial skills, with a track record of
building and leading high-performing analyst teams.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage,
collaborate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
