the Place (Smackers Limited) is hiring a Bar Man - Lounge & Club in Lagos.

The Place - We are a fast growing, world class, and dynamic, multi-billion Nigerian conglomerates, established and managed by a team of professionals with decades of management consulting and accounting experience/ training from Arthur Andersen (now KPMG in Nigeria). We are a profitable player in the QSR sector of the Hospitality industry in Nigeria with great prospects and staff strength of over 1000 employees. Currently, our operations span across 17 locations in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, with rapid expansion plans to penetrate more locations in the short to medium term.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Drink Preparation: Mix classic and innovative cocktails, pour beers, and prepare wines or non-alcoholic options accurately according to recipes
• Customer Service: Greet patrons, take orders, offer drink recommendations, and entertain guests seated at the bar
• Bar Operations: Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, wash glassware, and keep the bar area clean and organized
• Transactions: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process cash or card payments, and balance cash registers at the end of a shift.

• SSCE / OND / HND / BSc Degree
• Mixology Knowledge: Strong understanding of drink recipes, spirits, wine, beer, and proper pouring measurements.
• Interpersonal Skills: Friendly attitude, active listening, and strong communication for dealing with diverse crowds.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts (up to 8 hours or more) and lift heavy items like beer kegs or cases of stock.
• Multitasking & Math: Quick problem-solving, time management, and basic arithmetic for handling tabs and cash.
