Full description

We are not looking for theorists. We are looking for an experienced executive operator who can take a complex, multi-team operation in Kenya and make it deliver, week after week, at increasing scale.

If you have led large, multi-function operations in agriculture, land restoration, carbon or rural development, and you know how to keep field teams, finance, and quality pulling in the same direction, you may be exactly who we are looking for.**

Who We Are – A Team That Delivers Results Green Earth Group is a leading developer of nature-based projects, focused on reforestation, land restoration, biodiversity and sustainable land use. We work directly with local communities and smallholder farmers to implement projects at scale and generate high-quality carbon credits.

After years of project development, we are now scaling execution. That means building strong field structures, onboarding thousands of farmers and delivering consistently across multiple regions.

We are:

  • Highly operational and execution-focused
  • Scaling rapidly across international markets
  • Focused on real, measurable impact, not just strategy** The Role Our Kenya venture is a complex operation with seven divisions, each producing different outputs that must work together as one. The Country Director is the single point of accountability for the venture's overall performance and for its alignment with Green Earth Group's head office.

You will turn the group's mission into a unified, smoothly running operation on the ground.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate all seven divisions of the Kenya venture so they perform as one operation
  • Review performance across every division weekly, and identify the biggest obstacle to overall production
  • Resolve obstacles directly, or route them to the right team, before they block delivery
  • Resolve conflicts between divisions quickly and make sure decisions are recorded
  • Approve resource allocations, budgets and hiring decisions within your authority
  • Stop any activity that puts our mission, our people or our compliance at risk
  • Give head office clear, honest and timely reporting, and escalate decisions that fall outside your authority
  • Translate strategic direction from head office into clear operational priorities for every division head
  • Build and develop strong division heads who perform their roles and escalate correctly

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a high-performing outgrower system across project regions
  • Take ownership of farmer network performance and delivery outcomes
  • Establish clear processes for onboarding, training, and monitoring
  • Lead and develop local field teams and implementation partners
  • Ensure operational consistency across multiple geographies
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmer groups and community stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of field operations and program design** Who We’re Looking For This is a senior role. We are looking for an experienced executive who has led complex, multi-team operations in the field, not from behind a desk.
  • Proven experience leading a country, regional or multi-division operation, ideally in agriculture, agroforestry, carbon, land restoration or rural development
  • Strong track record managing large teams and large smallholder or community networks
  • Hands-on operational mindset with a focus on execution and delivery
  • Experience managing budgets, resources and cross-functional coordination
  • Ability to solve problems independently in complex, fast-moving environments
  • Honest, clear communicator who reports results as they are, good or bad
  • Strong leadership skills, comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
  • Strong knowledge of Kenya's agricultural and community landscape, including government and regulatory stakeholders
  • Fluency in English; Swahili is a strong advantage

Competitive Growth Opportunity

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Exposure to large-scale international projects Real-World Impact
  • Direct involvement in land restoration and nature-based projects
  • Work with smallholder farmers and local communities
  • See tangible outcomes of your work on the ground A Flexible & Performance-Driven Environment
  • Work with a highly driven, international team
  • High ownership, low bureaucracy
  • Flexibility in how you operate—as long as you deliver

Ready to Build Something Real? If you are ready to take ownership of a core operational function and build a scalable system that delivers real results, we want to hear from you.

Apply now and be part of building the backbone of large-scale nature-based projects.
