Do you have a ticketing background, know Amadeus like the back of your hand, and thrive on getting the details right? Thompsons Holidays is looking for an Intermediate/Senior Ticketing Consultant to join our Team in Rosebank!

If you can work in a Team environment, have attention to detail, know how to handle pressure, then this position is for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Issue & reissue airline tickets using Amadeus and various airline systems.
  • Process GDS refunds accurately and efficiently.
  • Work with airline fares, ticketing rules and processes to ensure bookings are handled correctly.
  • Deliver a customer-centric experience, turning queries and challenges into positive interactions.
  • Promote and represent our brand positively in every customer interaction.
  • Pay close attention to detail — because in ticketing, the small things matter!

What we’re looking for:**Someone who is confident, accurate, customer-focused and passionate about travel, with solid hands-on airline ticketing experience and strong Amadeus/GDS knowledge.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manual fare builds, recalculations as well as auto pricing.
  • Re-issue tickets in line with airfare rules and airline requirements.
  • Ensure all ticketing documentation is in place before issuing.
  • Maintain ticketing processes and procedures to ensure quick, accurate delivery.
  • Issue EMDs.
  • Adhere to ticketing deadlines.
  • Provide after-sales service to Res consultants.
  • Manage all support functions related to tickets – online as well as GDS.
  • Provide quick, efficient turnaround time at all times: when ticketing, when providing fare information as well as when re- issuing tickets.
  • Effectively manage queues.
  • Must be able to work rostered emergency duty shifts (after hours)
  • Stay abreast of all airline changes and updates.

Skills, Experience, Education

  • Minimum 3 years' ticketing experience on an intermediate level.
  • Proficient in Amadeus.
  • Strong knowledge of International Fares.
  • Excellent organisational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to excel under pressure.
  • A service delivery mindset and a strong client service focus.
  • Solution-driven.
  • Effective team player.
