We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer to join our Mining Operations team. The ideal candidate should have 4–5 years of relevant experience in mining operations, mine planning, production monitoring, and operational management.
African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state—the first of its kind in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mining Engineer to join our Mining Operations team. The ideal candidate should have 4–5 years of relevant experience in mining operations, mine planning, production monitoring, and operational management.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating mining activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and equipment, monitoring production targets, and maintaining safe and sustainable mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily mining operations to achieve production targets.
- Monitor mining activities, including drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and material transportation.
- Prepare and implement short-term mine production plans and operational schedules.
- Monitor production performance and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and equipment.
- Coordinate with geology, survey, maintenance, and production teams for smooth mining operations.
- Ensure proper implementation of mine plans, operational procedures, and production schedules.
- Monitor equipment productivity, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend appropriate solutions to minimize production delays.
- Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of mining areas and ensure safe working conditions.
- Maintain daily production reports, equipment utilization records, and operational documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operating costs.
